Kerala Ayurveda Training with Different Therapies

Ayurveda is made of two words, ‘Ayur’ which means life and ‘Veda’ which means science. In this way, Ayurveda means the science of life. Ayurveda is a traditional medicinal treatment developed about 5000 years ago in India and in today’s world, it became very famous across the globe.

Massage is the treatment of apparent layers of muscle and connective tissue to improve the function and promote relaxation and well-being. Ayurveda massage involves acting on and manipulating the body with pressure – structured, unstructured, stationary, or moving – tension, motion, or vibration, done by hand or with mechanical aids. Target tissues may include muscles, tendons, ligaments, skin, joints, or other connective tissue, as well as lymphatic vessels, or organs of the gastrointestinal system. It can be applied with the hands, fingers, elbows, knees, forearm, and feet.

Ayurveda Treatment is not used to suppress the main symptoms and to create some new ones as side effects of the main treatment. It is used to remove the root cause and give permanent relief. There are four main classifications of management of disease in Ayurveda: shodan, or cleansing; shaman or palliation; rasayana, or rejuvenation; and satvajaya, or mental hygiene. The Ayurveda treatment mostly comprises of powders, tablets, decoctions, medicated oils etc, prepared from natural herbs, plants and minerals. Because the medicines are from natural sources and not synthetic, they are accepted and assimilated in the body without creating any side effects and on the other hand, there may be some side benefits.
